In dwelling, live close to the ground.

In work, do what you enjoy.
In family life, be completely present.

the whole world belongs to you.
-Tao Te Chang paragraph 44

-Lao Tzu, Tao Te Chang

-Lao-Tzu

-Lao Tzu

The reason why rivers and seas receive the homage of a hundred mountain streams is that they keep below them. Thus they are able to reign over the mountain streams. So the sage, wishing to be above men, putteth himself below them; wishing to be before them, he putteth himself behind them. Thus, though his place be above men, they do not feel his weight; though his place be before them, they do not count it an injury.
-Lao-tse

After reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance I have determined that exposure to Eastern philosophy should be mandatory. We view the world through the logos of Greek philosophy. This is our reality and thus we accept it because we are not taught the alternatives. IMO we don't have it all right. In Eastern philosophy, peace, contentment and fulfillment lie within us. What we give to the world we receive back. Imagine if humanity felt this way. Beautiful
